Exams will begin for grades 6-12 on Friday, May 11. Students in grades 6-11 are exempt from an exam if they have maintained an A average or a B average with perfect attendance. Seniors are exempt from an exam if they have maintained a C average or higher. Students should check with their teachers to determine if they are exempt from an exam.    Report cards will be available for pickup Friday, May 18, from 8-10 am.

The Bessemer Academy Foundation consists of all individuals obligated to pay a student’s tuition pursuant to the enrollment contract. The Foundation meets yearly to discuss school business and elect the new Bessemer Academy Board of Directors. The meeting will be held the second Tuesday in May (May 8, 2018) at 6:00 pm in the Bessemer Academy Gym. Please make plans to attend. If you would like to nominate a member of the foundation to be considered for a position on the BA Board of Directors, please email Brooke Nixon at brook.m.nixon(at)gmail(dot)com no later than 5:00 pm on April 27, 2018. Nominations can only be made by foundation members. If you have any questions about this process, please email Brooke Nixon.

On Friday, February 9th, we held our annual Miss Bessemer Academy Pageant in the Bessemer Civic Center. Bessemer Academy is proud to announce our Miss Bessemer Academy, Alexis Duncan. Each year all high school students spend hours and days and weeks completing projects to compete in our school science fair. Judges come from all over to decide on winners for each category.
