All Bessemer Academy students in grades 6-12 complete a science fair project each year to compete in our local science fair. This year, the Rebels set a new record of 305 projects. That’s 305 students devoting time to learn in unique, hands-on ways, following the scientific process from start to finish.
Local Fair Winners

District Fair Representatives and Winners
Each school in the region selects 3 winners from each division (elementary, middle, and high school) to compete in the district science fair. Bessemer Academy hosted this year’s district fair and walked away with a few more ribbons. Those winners went on to compete in the state fair.

State Fair Winners

Bessemer Academy had three winners from the district fair move on to the state competition. Two of those came home with awards! Mikayla Criss won 3rd place in the High School Biological division, and Kaitlin Harris was named State Champion for the same division! Alleigh Oswalt also represented BA in the Physical division.
