Paige Turk is a bubbly K3 teacher at Bessemer Academy, where she has been sharing her smile for 17 years. She has three children who have attended BA, Brooke (c/o 2002,) Koley (c/o 2006) and Kiley (2018.) She also has two granddaughters in Bessemer Academy, Tyler (K5) and Harper (K3.) Paige’s favorite thing about Bessemer Academy is receiving all the hugs and kisses from her adorable class and installing important values in their lives. When she is not at BA, she enjoys shopping, something everyone here loves about Paige.
Mrs, Wildman graduated from Hueytown High School and she has been teaching at Bessemer Academy for six years. She has been married for 18 years and has a daughter, named Kaila, that attends Bessemer Academy (10th grade). Mrs. Wildman loves all of her students.
Mrs. Jeanne Kitchens is one of our K4 teachers here at Bessemer Academy and has been with us for the past 6 years. She has 11 years total teaching experience, 6 years here and 5 years at Sherman Elementary. She went to college at Baptist Bible College in Boston, Massachusetts and is certified to teach through ACSI. Mrs. Kitchens has been married to her wonderful husband for 27 years, Joe Kitchens, who is pastor of North Highlands Baptist Church. They have 4 children. Their two oldest, Nathan and Rachel, are both employees at Bessemer Academy, and their youngest is a senior here at BA. She enjoys watching her children play sports and helping with the Children’s activities at her church. She enjoys listening to christian music, and her favorite artist is Steven Curtis Chapman.

Nina has worked for Bessemer Academy for many years. She works in the preschool because she loves teaching and watching the children grow. Nina graduated from moody in 1991. Nina has been married to Chris for 20 years, and they have two kids Clay (Senior) and Josh (Sophomore) that attend B.A.
Lori Bateh graduated from West Blocton High school. After high school, she attended Shelton State where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She has two children that both attend Bessemer Academy, CJ (8th grade) and Christian (5th grade). She likes Bessemer Academy because of the close-knit family atmosphere and the wonderful education her children receive. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach.
Rachel Kitchens graduated from Grant County High School in High Ridge, KY in 2010. She is currently working on receiving a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and will be graduating December of 2016. Rachel’s role at Bessemer Academy is a teacher’s assistant (2010). From her experience as a teacher’s assistant, she has learned patience and feels as if it is a very important virtue when working with young children. Rachel says that she does not always color inside the lines and believes that not everything can be learned from a textbook. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys participating in her church’s volleyball and softball leagues. Her favorite bible verse is John 3:16 which reads “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
